Abstract
The account of a spraying experiment conducted on his estate on the lower slopes of Mount Elgon by Mr. G. W. Reynolds Will.I am sure, be read with the greatest interest by coffee growers in that part of the country. The beneficial effect both on amount of good crop and flowering and on earliness of crop and flowering- of the April-May sprayings are outstanding, and the cost is infinitesimal compared with results. The condition of the trees for bearing another crop would also appear to be much more promising in the case of the sprayed p10ts. The early June spaying' would seem to have had less effect because of being done on young coffee in good heart but the late June spraying on older coffee, appears to April-May spraying-the sprayed suckers being in much better condition.
