Abstract
Good feeding of the dam is essentiai in the la.st trimester when three quarters of the total prena.tal growth takes place (Barker At §'l 1975 Hight 1968) . Hight (1968) also reported that calves from dams that were on a high plane prior to calving were 20% heavier comoared to those from dams that were on a very low plane of grazing nutrition.
