Abstract
The sand mineralogy of soil is studied for three main purposes. One to assess the relationship between the soil and its parent materials (s). Two, to evaluate the mineral reserve (weather-able minerals) or what is also termed as the natural fertility of a soil. Finally to assess the variation within the soil cause by the soil forming processes.
