Abstract
A Decision on Whether Or Not to Level Termite mounds can Be Made on Economic Grounds by Loonsidei1ing La Number of Different Variables. The Most Relevant Are the Discount Rate, the Size of the Mounds, Gross Margin~, and the Length of Time the Land Remains Infel1tile. The Results Fora combination Of Variables are Presented In graphical Form in Fig. 2. Although The Discount Rate Is Not Vaded In Fig. 2, •Increasing The Discount Rate To 12 Per Cent Shifted The 10lcus Of Points 6lightly To The Left.
