Abstract
Intercropping is the growing of two or more species simultaneously on the same piece of land, i.e., in mixed culture. It is a cultural practice that is widely adopted in tropical and subtropical subsistence farming (Andrews and Kassam, 1976; Francis et al., 1976; Harwood and Price, 1976; Okigbo and Greenland, 1976).
