Abstract
A survey of 451 peasant cashew farms was undertaken at Lulindi, Masasi District. Information relating to the size of the farms, number of cashew trees, yield of nuts and cash income were studied in detail. It was shown that the farms were mostly small and the returns did not conform with the estimated national annual per capita.
