Abstract
The serious overproduction of coffee throughout the world, which began to make itself felt in 1958,has been widely advertised and Kenya, where coffee plays a dominant part in the economy,is fully alive to the situation. As far back as November last year the then Minister of Agriculture gave a warning that further expansion of coffee planting must be curtailed and we have it on good authority that the present government will confirm this policy in an announcement at the opening of Coffee Conference on the 20th November.
