Abstract
The performance of two Arabica coffee cultivars,a compact and a tall type was compared in a multi site trial at four tree densities and four lengths of pruning cycles. Results indicate that optimal densities and pruning cycles varied with altitude. The practical implications of the results are discussed. It is concluded that some management practices of compact cultivars may not be extrapolated from the traditional tall types.
