Abstract
Many mammals form large congregation’s at Certain seasons and the age and sex structure of these populations are often analyzable from aerial photographs. Banfield (1956) first used aerial photographs in a limited way on the Canadian carubou, and Leedy (1960) and Milton and Darling (1966) recognized thepotential of these methods in wildlife research.
