Abstract
The expansion of plantations in East Africa to meet future demands for sawn wood and pulp wood is well recognized by local forest authorities, The Tree Breeding Division at E,A.A.F.R.O. was set up in 1962 to improve seed sources, from which East African countries could obtain properly certified improved seed.
