Abstract
The physical chemical properties of a soil are usually dependent on ~he 'Specific surface area exposed. This property of the soil, needed for interpretation of some experimental results, can be d~determined using simple apparatus found in most laboratories today (Onchere, 1982). The method described here could be utilized in laboratories,s that lack ,the facilities for other more accurate methods such as low temperature nitrogen adsorption.
