Abstract
The effect of two annual applications of copper biocides was studied by determining the changes in copper concentration in soil and plant materials.Samples were collected at start of the season and at the end of the second spray season.Soil samples were analyzed for EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacet acid) extractable and, total copper. While there was a significant increase of both EDTA extractable and total copper for the sub-soil,no similar increase was recorded for the top soils. In the plant tissue increase were only recorded in the leaves. The Implication of these results are discussed.
