Abstract
Both the surface of the core and the surface of the sinus of goat horns are covered with rich vascular plexuses. The horns vasodilate in response to heat stress, exercise, and nerve block. They vasoconstrict when the resting goat is in a cold environment. There is a linear relationship between heat loss per minute per square centimeter of horn and the ambient temperature.
