Abstract
Drought is one of the worst problems experienced by agriculturalists, particularly those who practice subsistence farming. An attempt was made to investigate the nature of drought effects on crop agricultural production in the Northern Lake Basin of Kenya. Through rainfall analysis questionnaire survey and crop growth analysis. The longest, also sJlUOnylDOus1y called "main" rainy season begins in March in the south-east April in the North East and within the July-September period in the southwest. Deficiencies during these seasons are worst in the South East and least in the north-east. If all seasons had to experience drought in the same calendar year, the worst deficiencies would be expected in the south-east.
