Abstract
Although affecting Kenya much more than the other two territories, the total number of individual reported outbreaks and the total acreage covered was much greater last season than in any since 1961. Although central and southern Tanzania and Uganda were not seriously affected, larvae were reported from Nachingwea in the extreme south of Tanzania, and Kidepo and Murchison Falls in the extreme north of Uganda, and from Lamu near the north end of the Kenya coastline.
